The Basic Drawing class planned for Thursdays has been canceled due to insufficient registration. The class covers drawing simple and complicated 3D shapes, shading them with a single light source, linear perspective, semi-blind contour, gesture drawing.

The Life Drawing class will primarily cover drawing the human figure (with a model for some classes), but will also cover drawing the face, hands, and feet. The semi-blind contour drawing technique will be emphasized for drawing the figure while also using learned proportions for faces, hands, and feet.

Both classes include demos by Mr. Hanks, homework, analysis of your artwork, and in-class work. The registration deadline is a few days before each class begins. A class must have a minimum of three registrations or it may be canceled. Drawing materials are the responsibility of the student and should be brought to the first class.
